An old pastel. I love pastel, except for the framing, glass and easily damaged frames are just more than I want to deal with, so I almost never do them. Feeling the urge lately, but maybe I can take a nap and it will go away.

 Thelma and Louse, the draft mules from Cherokee Plantation that I painted a couple of years ago. Who would name mules pulling you around in a wagon Thelma and Louse?? I've had several offers to buy this piece but I always hang onto it. Finally figured out it's because it reminds me of me and Bob, well matched, stubborn, and tied together for work, maybe headed for a cliff. You and me, babe.  |
